New feature β€” Payment links

As you might have noticed, there have been some changes to the Sway app. We’re continuously working on improvements based on your feedback, some visible, and some invisible. So let’s dive into what has changed!

Payment Links – Requests that last 30 days πŸŽ‰

A lot of you have asked for shareable payment requests to last longer than 20 minutes. That’s why we are introducing Payment Links.

Every payment request that you initiate becomes a Payment Link and is shown in the Dashboard after creation. However, you now have a choice between getting paid ‘In-person’ or ‘Later‘ while initiating a request.

Choosing ‘In-person’ will show a payment request as you are used to, by QR-code, to get paid in-store. This request is valid for 5 minutes. If you want to share a payment request and select ‘Later’, you will create a shareable Payment Link that expires after 30 days or when the Payment Link has been paid.

Payment Notes – Add a description to payments

Payment Notes is a new addition to the app that is going live today, a small but highly requested feature. Payment Notes allow you to add a short description to payments when needed.

App interface improvements

To support Payment Links, we decided to change the looks of some screens in the app. The Dashboard now shows Payment links that haven’t been paid yet, for as long as that Payment Link is live. If a Payment Link has been paid, you will see the checkmark icon on the transaction list on the left.
